I just read an interesting write up on the PCC at americanrifleman.org. Noteworthy information in the article was the reason the barrel is flat where the rear sight is mounted, which I though was odd when I first saw photos of the carbine. They state that Ruger intends to offer a plate to replace the rear sight to mount the popular pistol size red dots like the RMR, Fastfire III, Sig Romeo, Leupold, and others. Pretty cool! Recommended reading. Bob!! :D

An excellent read. I was particularly impressed by this in the first chart. -NovX 65 gr. -p ARX 2031 fps average and 595 foot pounds of energy. I also like the idea of the plate for the red dots. I've gone back and forth over the last few days debating what optic if any to put on it. The article seemed to speak well of the irons so instead of ordering in advance I'm going to see what I can do with those before throwing anything else on. I almost ordered an optic last night but then thought better of it.

I have a Barska red dot standing by that already has a mount installed for the rail. Bob! :D

22plinkster just threw up a video review on this. He's running a red dot. I'm afraid to ask how much his costs, it's Leupold and brand new, which probably means out of my price range.
