Restoring a 1944 M1 Garand

A lot of work to get something that still looks pretty bad and doesn't work... they did not explain why it would not cycle at the end but was obvious the chamber was now oversized and they had to pound the spent cartridge out..... I don't think I would have put new parts on it either like the butt plate or the sling.. but found well worn used ones if it was going to be displayed... which is all it was good for once they were done.

They should have left it as found.
