I have a OM SBH with nice grips but some of the paint is missing in the grip emblem. Wondering if some of you have come upon a good way to repair that so that it looks good and not obvious. Tried searching but couldn't come up with anything. Feel free to point me to a thread since I 'm sure I'm probably not the first one that has asked this. Thanks.

I use black fingernail polish..you can brush it in, let dry, then scrape away any paint that gets outside the "lines".. Turns out pretty good
That sounds like a plan. You can also use Testor model enamel, and remove any "outside the lines" with some thinner (such as lacquer thinner or acetone) on a piece of cloth.

Or just learn to paint inside the lines

I find a tooth pick and a drop of model paint go a LONG WAY    RR

+100 to this. Teeny paint jobs call for teeny tools. A toothpick is exactly what you need.

I redid my Corvette cross flag emblem years ago. Thinned Testors, in the small jar, model paint did the trick along with a fine camel hair paint brush. It took several coats, but thinning it allowed the paint to run perfectly into every corner with no over-run to wipe off. If I were to do Ruger's grip emblems, I'd do them the same way.

Doesn't matter if some paint gets where it shouldn't be. Let it dry good flip it over on typing paper and give it a few long strokes and your done.

I remember reading an article by Hamilton Bowen about refinishing Ruger grips and he talked about "chasing black paint into the corners with a toothpick". Sounds like you guys have it figured out! :D
