These are stlls I took of a short video that popped up. A lost civil war Remington that a tree grew around. Pretty interesting.

Seems strange the trigger guard looks cut off? The hammer is cut off too.

Also no remnants of grips or main spring. They could have rotted away, but it seems to me the grip frame would show a different patina if the grips were in place for a long time

Completely uneducated guess. It was in a fire before it got buried.

Yes it is there it just doesn't look all there. I guess I meant cut down not off. Maybe it rotted off? Idk.
