I have a 270 remington 700 adl that has a plain black plastic stock that I got at a fair price a few years ago. However I didn't really care for the stock, I kinda like rifles with wood stocks. So I was on Boyds web site and they had a good price on there Ross featherweight thumbhole stocks, so I ordered one in camo. Here it is, it fit perfectly, no modifacations, just dropped right in. I think it really dresses that rifle up.

Good job, I like it.
I did the same thing to my .223 700 ADL with a Boyds lam stock.
Made a good feeling rifle out of it.
I have done this to several 98 Mausers also.

Yes, Contender, I did have to resight it, the point of aim did change a little. When the action was in the Remington plastic stock it wasn't free floating. In the Boyds, the barrel doesn't contact the stock at all. I'm vary happy with it, in fact I just bought another Rem 700 ADL in 243 Win. I plan on getting another Boyds stock for that one too. :D
