In the boonies in my area this monument was erected by my ground school instructor, Colonel Al Matheson for a airmail pilot that crash landed high in the mountains here.
Remembering a fallen mail pilot.

It's stories like this that make me almost puke when I hear some talking head in the media call a sports player a "hero."
That pilot was a true hero, & took his responsibilities seriously. It's good to see such a memorial.
