Reliability package on 22/45?

Hello all,

I've had a Ruger 22/45 MK3 Target for some time, and it is very picky about ammo. Well, pretty much all ammo. It even hiccups with CCI minimags occasionally. I'd like to install some aftermarket parts / do some gunsmithing to see if I can fix it up a little bit.

I'm not really concerned about accurizing it. It is accurate enough for me already, and the trigger is fine.

Any replacement parts I should throw in from Volquartsen? Extractor? Ejector? Springs? Etc?

Feed ramp polish?

Better call Ruger and see if they will fix it. My 22/45 mk111 never had a ftf, fte, or a misfire. I buy whatever is the cheapest at the time by the brick. I have fired all different brands and my gun doesn't know the difference. Never read a post before about 22/45's being finicky on brands. You should find out why it dosen't run correctly on stock parts before throwing aftermarket parts at it.

I've even mixed HV and SV of different brands in the same magazine with zero failures.

How much has the pistol been shot? My Mk 22/45 had some initial running problems with some lower velocity ammo but has worked through that after about 500 rounds and now is generally 100%.

After initial problems, my Mk III 22/45 is getting much better with use. I'm on my 3rd ammo type, but it may just be that exercise is improving it.
