Redhawk rear sight

I have a brand new Redhawk with a problem I have seen before: the rear sight is canted counter clockwise. The sight seems properly in place but is a few degrees off. It is out of alignment with the front sight: the right side higher than the left.
Things out of line bug me. I really don't what to do about this. The sight is held in by a pin. Maybe there is a replacement sight I could get.
I wondered about just filing the sight blade. Adjusting the sight won't work due to the angle being fixed by the pin... I don't really want to send it back after waiting so long to get it. Is this the kind of thing a good smith could take care of without paying out too much?

If it's brand new ... contact Ruger.

IF it has to go back to be fixed, YOU will only be out about a week. As of late Ruger Customer Service has been A+.

They will probably just send you a new rear sight replacement.

Or spend ~$100 and replace it w/ a Bowen, lot's of money but a very nice replacement!!

Thanks G2. I emailed the Ruger guys last night. I bet they will send a new sight. Years ago my M77 had a defective stock and they sent a new one promptly.
That is a nice sight on your Alaskan. Is that a Bowen? Very nice front sight. I like the rear V & post idea. I think that might benefit the old eyes here.
