Any input would be Awesome, Thank yuo

My Redhawk cylinder will not close with the 45 AUTO’s. They just plan stick out too far to allow the Cylinder to close.

Not going to get into my call to Ruger, I know they will make it right eventually.

So either the Ejector is too thick, or the Cylinder was not cut deep enough, or Both.

My Cylinder to the face of the cylinder measures a Min of.015” to a Max of .023”, so for sure not cut square/flat the one is tapered to its thicker towards the end. Sorry not remembering what the ejector thickness is.

Any chance of getting a few measurements of the for the 45Auto-45Colt Cylinder and Ejector.

Cylinder Face to the Top of the Ejector.

And a few of the Thickness of the Ejector.

I am assuming that you are using the moons that came with the gun?

My Redhawk did not come with any moon clips, someone forgot to put them in the box at Ruger. So Ruger sent me 9 moon clips, still no workie.

So I have 15 moon clips, I think I'm set for a bit on the moon clips. I did measure them and are .031" - .032" thick. So yes they are the correct ones.

.45 Long Colt fit fine.

Was just looking for a few measurements to see if the cylinder or ejector was machined incorrectly or the frame of the revolver was off somehow.

The depth from the cylinder to the ejector was .0160" to .0185"

The Ejector thickness was .0604" to .0634"

Would not think that would be enough to worry about.
