The latest virtue signalling from that place out west. Won't go over well the college beer drinkers.

BERKELEY, Calif. (KTVU) - The Berkeley city council unanimously voted to pass a Disposable Foodware and Litter Reduction ordinance on Tuesday, which means restaurants, cafes and other businesses will be forced to charge customers 25 cents for each disposable cup.

Customers can avoid paying the extra fee if they bring their own cup.

The ordinance also requires all dine-in foodware to be reusable, and takeout foodware to be compostable by January 2020. So, if you're dining in at McDonald's, for example, the restaurant will have to provide a real fork or spoon, not a plastic one.

Sorry, Toby. You'll have to write new song.

I suppose they expect people to carry Sierra Club cups on their belts and bring their camping utensils with them.

I got a Yetti look alike 32oz cup at Sam's Club for $10 (one forth of what
yetti was charging then) and have been using it exclusively since. It keeps
the drinks MUCH colder, doesn't crush, and it drives the counter people
at MickieDs crazy (also saved them five cents per visit - - in CO).

P.S. That's a drawer pull from Home Depot I epoxied on the side.
