Red Eagle grip changes

Can someone tell me when they started using the grips without the visible escutcheons? And also approximately when they stoppped using the two pice medallions? Thanks in advance.

At around the serial number of 3648,, or what is known as a "Type 3."

Our Type 4 had the two piece medallion, sn 9327 and that one is still the highest I've seen with that medallion.
One piece medallions start to show up with the Type 3 variation.
