Recessed cylinders

An easy one for the experts; what calibers and serial number range were the cylinders recessed for the case rim in Old Model Blackhawks?

I have never seen a Blackhawk with recessed chambers. I seem to recall some Super Blackhawks had them......

Old Models, well as far as I know the .44 Mags and .45 Colts were. The other calibers I'm not sure of.

My New Model 45 Blackhawk has a recessed cylinder. A few were made during the transition from OM to NM.

I know that the recess is not really necessary and makes the revolver a bit harder to see if it loaded but I really like my cylinders recessed.

That's the single feature that I wish my new model 'hawks had compared to the old models. It just looks better, more finished.

The Old Model .357's did NOT have "recessed" chambers in the cylinders. The other centerfire calibers did.
