Recent trade aquistion

A Redhawk with 7 & 1/2" tube in stainless in .41 magnum. No serial number bellow the cylinder but, on the butt. Got the original grips(factory anyway) manual scope rings with Simmons. I wasn't even aware of Ruger making this like this(with scope ring cut outs) in .41 magnum.
I looked up the BOD-1988.

Nice. I have his bigger brother, 44. I have tried to find some of those scope caps with the Ruger emblem, but no luck.

Yeah...Ruger made six different models of .41 Redhawk. The two models that are scarcest are the 7-1/2" blue with rings and the 5-1/2" blue.

If I recall correctly,, Simmons got an approval to sell a scope with caps like that as part of a "package" back in the 90's. A Redhawk, with a scope package all together.
As such,, it appears you got a very nice gun & set-up there.
