I received my replacement Single Seven last night and couldn't be happier. The fit and finish is so much better than the original.

An interesting thing is that the serial number on the original had a prefix of 818 while the replacement is 816.

I have to say, the way Ruger handled my situation was superb. No hassles, they just made good!!!

Thanks Ruger!

Many years ,,, I was told by a guy; "I won't buy a Ruger because they don't have a warranty." Well, old Bill found out it was CHEAPER to not offer a written warranty than it was to fix the issues that arose with some guns. It's a model that has worked for decades.
Glad to know you are happy & it doesn't surprise a lot of us!

It seems to me that although Ruger claims no specific warranty, in practice they have what amounts to a lifetime warranty.

Somewhere awhile back I found a statement from Ruger that explains it. Essentially, it's that once you DO offer an express warranty you're bound by hundreds of years of laws and regulations that apply to a warranty. Ruger didn't want to mess with that. They decided instead to simply stand by all their products. In practice, this seems to result in Ruger having what is essentially a lifetime no questions asked warranty on their firearms.

The best anecdote I have seen concerning Ruger's customer service? A guy owned a 1980's vintage 10/22. He dropped it onto concrete pavement from up on some scaffolding, causing the receiver to crack. He sent it in, but Ruger couldn't repair it. They they sent him a new 10/22 free of charge.

Can't beat that with a stick.

I've shot Ruger revolvers since the mid 80's. My First was a SBH I bought used, had exactly 6 rounds fired out of the Box of CCI Blazer ammo that came with it. After about a year of firing it, the ejector housing stud came off. I called Ruger, they said take it my LGS and have them send it back. Two weeks later it came back good as new and has never given me a lick of trouble since.

In the mid 90's my girl friend was firing my pride and joy SSM using factory Federal ammo. A squib load lodged a bullet in the barrel and before I could stop her, she fired another bulging the barrel. I contacted both Federal and Ruger. Federal told me to get stuffed, Ruger said send it back. They sent it back to me with a new barrel.

Given how much I like my SSM, when I heard about the Single Seven, especially since it was SS, I had to have one. I got one and it sat for nearly a year before I had time to mess with it. First thing I noticed was that the two top grip frame screws were buggered. I had some extras on hand so I went to replace them only to find that the left screw was stripped. The frame hole was stripped out. Much to my surprise, Ruger said send it in, even more surprising to me was that they contacted me a day after receiving it saying that they would replace it or I could chose another revolver since it might take some time to locate a replacement. I opted for replacement and couldn't be happier.

I also have a SS Security Six that is crazy accurate and as well a blued 5.5" Redhawk.

Got a fixed sight Single Six .32 H&R on its way, slated to deliver today!! WooHoo!

I might have posted about this before so I will be brief. I bought a MK1 back in 1972 and I have shot the hell out of it. At least twice a week since I bought it. The Tuesday before Thanksgiving I was at the range and the trigger broke in half. I called Ruger and for $30 they emailed me a shipping label and I returned the gun to them that afternoon. They called the following Monday and told me they had no new triggers but could install a used one which of course I agreed to. Because they could not provide a new part they told me they were going to rebuild and refinish my gun on their dime. I got it back exactly one week later. That is customer service with a capital C!!
