I've shot Ruger revolvers since the mid 80's. My First was a SBH I bought used, had exactly 6 rounds fired out of the Box of CCI Blazer ammo that came with it. After about a year of firing it, the ejector housing stud came off. I called Ruger, they said take it my LGS and have them send it back. Two weeks later it came back good as new and has never given me a lick of trouble since.
In the mid 90's my girl friend was firing my pride and joy SSM using factory Federal ammo. A squib load lodged a bullet in the barrel and before I could stop her, she fired another bulging the barrel. I contacted both Federal and Ruger. Federal told me to get stuffed, Ruger said send it back. They sent it back to me with a new barrel.
Given how much I like my SSM, when I heard about the Single Seven, especially since it was SS, I had to have one. I got one and it sat for nearly a year before I had time to mess with it. First thing I noticed was that the two top grip frame screws were buggered. I had some extras on hand so I went to replace them only to find that the left screw was stripped. The frame hole was stripped out. Much to my surprise, Ruger said send it in, even more surprising to me was that they contacted me a day after receiving it saying that they would replace it or I could chose another revolver since it might take some time to locate a replacement. I opted for replacement and couldn't be happier.
I also have a SS Security Six that is crazy accurate and as well a blued 5.5" Redhawk.
Got a fixed sight Single Six .32 H&R on its way, slated to deliver today!! WooHoo!
