Churchill's account of WWII from May of 1940 to December. It covers the battles, politics and strategies behind the beginning of the War.
Churchill was a master of the English language, which makes the book both enlightening and fun to read. An insightful history written by an incredibly intelligent statesman who was there, felt the full weight of his position, and relished it. In a way it reminds me of Grant's autobiography in its directness and clarity.
Got it for $1.99 on Kindle, which is a damn good reason to have a Kindle...
