The reason I started this thread; I saw one of the aforementioned RCA Old Army revolvers on consignment at a LGS for $800. In addition there were a blued OA with a couple of scratches for $600, a 41 Magnum NM Blackhawk ($900 with carved fake ivory grips), and a .44 SPL NM Flattop ($900). I haven’t shot any black powder since I gave away a couple of BP guns along with all the kit just before enlisting in 1986. I really don’t feel the desire to get back into BP shooting, but an Old Army was my introduction to it back when I was 12, in 1976. I’m thinking of making an offer on the RCA just for nostalgia’s sake and making a wall-hanger out of it (in a suitable glass display case of course).
I have no interest in either .41 Magnum or .44 SPL as I own a couple .357 Blackhawks, a couple .44 Magnum SBHs, and multiple .45 Colt BHs.
I know all the guys at this LGS, and there’s usually ~$50 wiggle room on guns below $500, and maybe $100 on guns $700 and up.
