Rare Single Six 17 HMR Duplicate

While looking in one of my safes I found this gun I forgot I even had. This is a very rare "FACTORY BLEMISHED" "D" Duplicate serial number Single Six in 17 HMR.

Glassman, .32 got me thinking and I looked in my notes I do have a factory used gun it has the "*" asterisk. Serial number is
*650-43950 model KSSMBH-4F. Its new in the box... It is listed in Chads notes.... not for sale....
A BLEM would be like a factory second or "S" gun.

The "D" guns are often set aside until a group could be sent out, so during this era Ruger may have put that blemish stamp on the label just because there was something "different" about it (the fact that it was a duplicate) rather than being a true used gun.

Cool! I've owned Many, many "D" guns, never saw a "D" printed that large. Coogs.

My "D" marked GP100 has the D stamped backwards .... or up-side-down depending on how you look at it.

I can't say for that gun but right now we get boxes marked blemish or used. Sometimes you can find the blemish sometimes you can't :wink:
