Made it to the range today for the first time with the SR1911. Everything went good. No malfunctions of any kind. I went through about 100 rounds. The first 50 were Blazer Brass 230gr FMJ. Then I decided to try some 230gr Gold Dots. They fed fine. I had one mag loaded with aluminum cased Blazer 230gr FMJ. Then finished off with more Blazer Brass. The SR1911 ate everything. I had the two mags that came with the pistol along with a factory 7rd Kimber and a KimPro-Tac 8rd mag. No problems with any of them.
The SR1911 is plenty accurate. The sights were dead on and would hit exactly where I wanted it too, as long as I didn't rush myself. I like the 3 dot sights.
The trigger pull could be a little lighter in my opinion. I haven't had a scale on it but it feels a bit heavier than my wifes Kimber Custom Crimson Carry.
Overall I was very impressed with the SR1911's first outing.
