Got to the Range today with my first revolver. This is the second one i ever shot also not including a single action 22. Its a Ruger Speed Six 38spl Stainless with 2.75 barrel. This thing was a pleasure to shoot Single action is amazing and Double was very good as well. I was shooting from 7 yards , standing and two hands. 6 shots were single action and the other 6 was double action. I have a 6inch group including the flyer on the left not to bad for my second time ever shooting a 38spl I think i did well. Oh by the way did i mention this gun has been chamber to take 357mag and I shot those also but i forgot to get my target for that one but as always i had a great day at the range. I think i can get my groups even smaller with more practice. I love this gun it puts the bullet right where you aim it.

I have a 2.75 stainless and a blued 4". Great guns. More accurate than I am. Best thing is they are so close in size to the SP101 and with that 6th shot. Keep it up and your grouping will shink dramatically.

Thats darn good shooting for your first time out, easily enough to defend yourself with. The Speed Six just might be the perfect six shot carry revolver. Until Ruger wakes up and reintroduces it I'll have to make do with my Charter Police Undercover.
