I spent a little time yesterday shooting some sub-sonic ammo through the muffler. The Blazer HV wasn't bad on the first testing but I was hoping for better.
The Aguila that my 10-22 loves did pretty well after getting dialed in. On the final group @ 25 yards, I had a 3 shot cloverleaf and then the hole didn't get bigger for shots 4 & 5 so one ragged hole for 5. I quit there since that's as good as I can hold with 4x and thick crosshairs. I thought "OK, this is pretty good" so I moved the target to 75 yards and while it was again acceptable, I was hoping for better. I had some CCI sub-sonic HP that my 22/45 likes so well and tried a couple of groups with that. I was having trouble holding the thick crosshairs in the middle of the 2" sticker at that range and had a couple of flyers but still grouped in the 3/4" range @ 75 yards. Tom's CZ is better but he has a more "paper target friendly" optic on that.
Noise levels were BB gun quiet and the CCI ammo has good terminal performance so I'm pleased with the new "Vermin Destroyer".
With the short stock insert, Granddaughter will be on even ground with her older Brother equipment wise since she's about outgrown her "midget" 22 single shot.

Shooting my RAR with suppressor, I got my best groups using CCI SV. Had several groups in the .2's at 50 yards. Barry

"Had several groups in the .2's at 50 yards."
With the optics I have mounted, I can't hold within .2" at 50 yards.
This is a hunting rifle and I have to be able to see the cross hairs in low light so the compromise on the range is acceptable. I do have a few more brands/types of ammo to try but none have the proven terminal performance of the CCI sub-sonic HP. When shooting SV ammo from a rifle, I find that maybe 10% go super sonic and make more noise than is acceptable for my use.

Short update:
The kids have been shooting the little RAR with Fed Auto-match and Blazer HV at the 3 & 4" swingers set at 75 yards with acceptable results. When the more experienced shooters tried it, we found it was simply "hold in the middle" of the steel and send it---every shot a hit. Not a match winner but considering the optic (1.5-4.5x32 with thick crosshairs) and marginal quality ammo, I'm not expecting 1 MOA.

More comments:
It seems the RAR has reached the point of needing a bore swab after maybe 150-200 shots of Blazer HV and Auto-match . I cleaned it before starting and after the initial scope zero session. My groups have opened up to nearly double with all other factors remaining the same. The kids were still hitting the bigger swingers but group size exceeded the 3" circle @ 75 yards.
Weather has moderated and I have some down time today for a bit of shooting so we'll see what the cleaning did for it.
