Sprung my 5.5" bull barreled 22/45 from PRK pistol jail today. :D

Took it home, swabbed out the bore, wiped off the excess oil & cleaned where I could reach. Gave 'er a few shots of Birchwood Casey synthetic at strategic spots & off to the range.

One thing about a 10 day wait. I managed to acquire 3 extra mags & 400 rds of Mini Mags.

100 rds of Mini Mag solids. Zero malfunctions. This is a SWEET pistol.

The sights are VERY nice. And the gun comes with it's very own Picatinny rail in case ya want to bolt on some optics or a laser.

Trigger was better than I expected.

I had expected a 5.5" bull barrel to be a little front heavy. The pistol feels really nicely balanced. A pleasure to shoot.

The mag doesn't pop out like other semis. You have to grab it and pull it out. Not crazy about that.

All & all, I'm pretty pleased with my new Ruger. For $200 I think I underpaid. The polymer koolaid is sweet!

Yeah, I love my MK series pistols. If you're really serious about the mag popping out, I think VQ makes a spring "thingy" that will eject them from the magwell. Not sure on the price.

D'OH! I found that the combo of my big mitts & the relatively small grip was putting just the smallest sliver of palm meat over the rear of the mag when I shifted my grip to eject the mag.

When I think to move my hand a bit the mag pops right out. Not difficult and with time I think it'll happen without thinking.

Congrats on that new pistol. I think the .22/45 model 10140 is calling my name. I been drooling over it for about a week now. I got to see one up close. Good luck with yours.
