What would have been the appropriate packaging, and accessories, i.e. lock, nipple wrench, etc for an Old Army manufactured in 1996? I picked up one today at the local gunshow and want to try to return it to factory original as much as possible.

Thanks for your help.... :D :D :D

Mine came in a Blue box, Instruction Manuel, Nipple wrench, And should have had a Plastic wrap for the gun(Early ones had paper I beleive)

I would think a gray plastic box, a plastic bag, a manuel, a nipple wrench, and possibily a lock. It may have also included a card to join the NRA.
I do not have one to check such things, but those items would be about normal for that time period. The lock might be the biggest issue as to which lock it came with, if it actually had one. There were small brass padlocks, (two variations,) and a black one just like the brass ones. Then came the long looped yellow ones, and the red ones.
I can't recall which one would be correct for that era.

Thanks for the information, I am specifically trying to find out if a lock was supplied with it, and if so, which lock and also, the plastic bag, was it the bag with the ruger logos printed on it or just a plain plastic bag.

Input/Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Sorry I just Looked, It is a Gray box
And the Lock I forgot about is a large Ugly one, Ruger Logo, Made in China, It is Blue, I THINK, Its not here at the moment to ck
