Question on winchester cases

Where can I buy Winchester shot shell cases 3"???? for reloading .

Hi,

As far as I know, Winchester does not sell unfired hulls. So you'll have to find a source of used cases. A lot of ranges sell used 2 3/4" inch cases, and Win AAs are always popular, but that does you little good! And there's such a variety in 3" hulls, even from a given mfr, you may have a hard time getting enough of one variety to fill the need.

In my own experience, Winchester's 3" cases are throwaways (splits, etc.) The best looking ones for reloading I've used are Kent's (I think they're made by Cheddite), followed by some of the Federals. I haven't shot Fiocchi factory shotshells, but do use their cases for 20 ga loads, so you might add them to the list.

So... suggest a look at Ballistic Products' website, http://www.ballisticproducts.com , and start "new." They offer 3" Federal, Rio, Fiocchi and Cheddite hulls (though, like so many reloading components, they may be out of stock right now), and perhaps order a copy of their latest "Advantages" book for recipes. Well worth the read even if you never use any of its recipes! BP also supplies a lot of components to some of the other big online vendors, so your favorite vendor may be able to help you, too.

Good luck!
