I just noticed that my stock 10 22 rear sight has a slight cant or slant towards the rear when it is up. Is this normal? Can you please check your guns? I hope I didn't bend mine...

Welcome to the Forum ~

Both of mine do in fact tilt ever so slightly to the rear of the gun.

Is your sight still "solid"? Tight when you move it down and up? Regardless, I don't think they're difficult or expensive to replace if you have a problem.

Yes it is solid. There is no wiggle etc, but I noticed it had a little cant to the back when it locks into place in the up position. If both of yours seem that way I guess thats the way it is suppose to be?

Please, put my mind at rest...anyone else have one that can look? Are there not millions of the rifles out there?

I just looked at mine and it appears to be nearly vertical. But if it does lean any, if any, it would lean backwards or toward you.

It's slight, but I wonder if it suppose to be like that. Seems like the piece of metal that acts as the stop should make it stop vertical but is almost crimped on in a way that allows the sight to lean towards the butt of the rifle. Although when I fool with it it does not really seem to affect the point of aim. I might be concerned over nothing. I just like my stuff to be correct. It's the same reason I obsess over other guns when I have a malfunction. This is why I love my glocks...they always work and don't break easily. Although my sr9 compact is building its reputation with me!

I'll bet that, like 2 of mine, the sight is folded down and there's a scope sitting just above it, preventing it from being flipped up to check.

Then there's the third one, which has an aftermarket bull barrel w/o sights.

Yep. I have a scope on mine BUT the sight still is movable and it is canted to the rear.
