Question about Mark ll magazine---------------

I have a magazine that has a Red Eagle on the base. It fits and cycles in my Mark II just fine. My Mark II was made in 1984. My question, is this the proper mag for my pistol. If I remember correctly the pistol came with 2 mags that were black when new. Thanks

I SAW MY FIRST red base MKII mags when the 50TH ANNIVERSARY MKII pistols came forth, two with each pistol.

Yep, that was the 50Th ANNIVERSARY MKII model with a couple of slight nuances; SS bolt, no relief cuts in the frame at the slide access.

IMHO, these are the finest series of Ruger 22 automatic pistols ever made to date.

Look closer at the mag base. The Eagle is silver & the background is red. The original Red Eagle guns didn't have any markings on the base at all.
