Can someone tell me if Ruger had any other 10/22 International configurations? I know there was Blue/Walnut, Stainless/Walnut, and Stainless/Black laminate. Were there any others? Thanks.

Blue/walnut checkered, blue/birch checkered, stainless/birch checkered. Now there's the current offerings from TALO which are walnut and have checkering and red pads

And I can tell the new Talo offerings are very nice. Any idea on how many they made? My FFL had a blue one on her shelf in Dec. I handled it and it was a very attractive gun.

A buddy has some hideous (to me) stainless with a green laminated stock. Think they sold about half a million of them through KMart or a similar store back in the day.

The original 10/22 Internationals in 1965 were walnut (the 10/22X). Then in 1966 they started hand checkering a few (10/22XC).
I think it was 1994 when the birch stock 10/22's came out, in blue and stainless (10/22RBI and K10/22RBI). The first ones didn't have checkering and everybody complained so Ruger started checkering them, but the catalog numbers stayed the same.
Then there is the black laminate stainless K10/22RBI-BBZ. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this was a walmart special. Ruger made a few blue 10/22RBI-BBZ (600 and some guns) as leftovers of the walmart stainless offering.
Then of course are the recent blue and stainless checkered Walnut Internationals from Lipseys....
So by my count.....10 different models/variations.
And if a collector really wants to get crazy, he can try to locate a "D" marked duplicate 10/22X or 10/22XC from the 1965-1968 non-prefix series or a 10/22X or 10/22XC with 110- prefix serial number (super neat and rare!!).

Looks like Ruger has made a new batch of blue 10/22RBI-BBZ. Just saw #357-90822 at the Conway, Arkansas gun show this past weekend. I don't know if Ruger's changed the catalog number or model number though from the offering of 16 years ago.
Previously, only 690 of this model were made up as a parts cleanup to the stainless model sold to Wal-mart
If anybody know's what distributor is getting this newest batch, be sure to drop me a PM

Sports South exclusive, look for item 72943 SS black lam, 72944 blue black lam. Cannot link directly to the page for some reason, but descriptions state Sports South exclusive. Those are nice.

Thanks rocdoc. Looks like there's a couple of other new 10/22's on there also, with something called a "Next Gear Camo".
Still haven't figured out why Ruger doesn't help advertise this stuff, especially since they have a webpage there to do just that. Can you imagine that any one of these "obscure" limited distributor specials could actually sell tens of thousands of units or more if Ruger would just take a little time to get all of these added to their webpage? Not only would it help keep Ruger's mfg lines spinning, it would really help the stocking dealer.
Looking at Ruger's News items, I see that their goal is to sell a million units this year? If that is the case, it would be good to get everything listed on their webpage. The more the merrier, and in fact, if they could go right back to the very first distributors specials (about 1988) they would really help their cause with new potential sales.
Ruger is right on track with using the power of their website to gain more attention to their company, and they've proven it with a lot of the high prices seen on some of their auction items. One could only imagine the possibilities if all their specials were actually listed and pictured.

The early Internationals are beautiful looking rifles --the stock going near the end of the barrel is 8) usually some nice walnut on those guns :) that and the sporter are my favorite early 10--22's

Talked to my FFL today, these will be priced as follows with her 8% markup:

72944 RUG 10/22RBIBBZ 22LR BLKLAM 1133 $274.00 plus 8% s-tax = $295.92

72943 RUG K10/22RBIBBZ 22LR BLKLAM SS 1132 $287.00 plus 8% s-tax = $309.96

About the same price as the Talo editions with the walnut. Blue in stock, SS not yet in stock.

If anybody gets any of these, I can always use a PM with sn info!! These are two more models that we'll need to get documented in the next RENE as well as the reference.
