A little while back, a member with 1 or 2 post had a question about an item that he got in a box of goodies. I commented on it and also mentioned that I would like to have one. Well, he PM'd me that he didn't have a need for it and asked if I was interested. I made an offer and he accepted. More than once he asked if I wanted pictures. I said that was OK, I would take it and sent money thru PayPal, and informed him of this. Well, after a week or so I was getting worried that a troll suckered me in. I sent him a PM and heard back a day or two later from him, saying he'd been watching but received no funds. I was about to post on here a "beware" of this person. Then I checked my PayPal account and realized I was one letter off on the email I used - My Fault.

Luckily it was a dead email acct so I was able to reclaim the funds and send to the right email acct. Here I was thinking I got screwed, but come to find out it was my own doing. Meanwhile the newbie, who probably thought I was a jerk, patiently stood by, and I finally received the item. Lesson learned.

We all can easily screw up at times.
Recently, I spoke with a guy about getting some glass cut for a couple of picture frames. He gave me his phone number, said to text him the dimensions. I did. I waited a week, and called him. I got a "disconnected number" recording. I drove to his shop, and I had swapped 2 of the numbers around. I had 98 and it was 89. I called him & sent him the dimensions, explaining MY screw-up. He had the glass for me in a few hours.

And even worse, I just broke another forum's classifieds rule. I went to post some stuff for sale, all the same type of items, just different sizes. There were 16 items to sell. AND, I made a reference to different parts to be listed later. Well, the site only allows a max of 10 items in a post, no more than 5 ads per month, and you can not piggyback a sale in an ad. Well, I was dinged for my two mistakes. I wasn't thinking about the 10 items,,, just trying to list all the similar items together in a post. And the related items were a side note because I figured someone would ask, so I wanted to head off the questions. My mistakes.

We are human, we screw up from time to time.

Back when I was selling grips, I had a person send me a payment by Paypal. I notified him that I had not received the payment to my account. After some discussion, I found out that he sent the payment with a misspelling of my Paypal name and email.

I found out the easiest way to rectify the situation was to add that misspelled name to my account. The payment then showed up in my account with no problem. Evidently, you can add different names to your account. It's been a long time ago but I think I got that information directly from Paypal.

I am not a newby but I screwed up royally a month or two ago. I sold two coach guns and, somehow, the FFLs got switched (Most likely MY FAULT). Luckily, both guys were good about it and I paid shipping fees to each FFL to resend them. Still, you feel like an IDIOT!
