Seems to me we have several (at least one) Prius fan on the board...I thought this picture pretty well sums it all up on surviving the big snow storm:

Hilarious!

However, THIS Prius driver wouldn't make that mistake.....I grew up in MInnesota and know how to properly chain up a vehicle.

Wow, really. VQ, I have read things like this for years. I have heard that we Texans can't drive in snow. Does anyone realize that a lot of Texans have lived outside of this great state for decades? You guys don't drive any better in it then we do. Just look at the accident rate in northern cities! when it snows. I don't subscribe to the "just because you grew up there" theory that you can drive in snow/ice. JMO.

I don't know about Texas, but in Maryland enough people are challenged just driving in the rain. :? And we get a decent amount of both as a rule with a lot more rain all year round.

Gotta be a moron to drive a Ford .... :D

Revhigh... the Mustang with the chains on the front may be a deliberate joke, maybe not - but the truck is done perfectly. If you notice, it has locking hubs on the front wheels - for your edification, this means it's a 4 wheel drive. If you had ever driven a 4X4 in snow, you would know that chains on the front are FAR more effective than chains on the rear.

Really interesting response there, Karl. Where, exactly did I say anything about anyone being a better driver than anyone else....in any state? Sheesh! I only said I knew how to properly chain up a vehicle, and I drive a Prius.

Did not knock anyone's choice of vehicle and did not criticize anyone's ability to drive in snow.

A little bit defensive are we???? Goodness gracious. Lighten up...it's just a humerous picture.

Viking Queen, who does happen to be a pretty darned good driver, snow or no snow.

VQ, come on. It is the "I grew up in MInnesota" response. I'm not being defensive at all, it would be like every Texan saying "I grew up in Texas so I'm a cowboy/girl". The majority of Texans couldn't tell you the difference between an Angus or Beefmaster. Just saying that growing up in snowy states does not make one a genius when it comes to driving in snow/ice. Yes it is a funny pic.. and I was not picking on you, it was just quotable.
