My local LGS has a nice used new model Super Blackhawk 7.5” blue in nice condition. A little blue loss but nothing major. It has the dragoon trigger guard which while I like the looks of I hear they’re hard on the middle finger. Asking $450.

Acorn,

Without pictures it’s difficult to say with complete certainty BUT, my feeling is that’s a mighty good price for a generally good-condition new model SBH.

I should add however, that I like to bargain and if the bluing loss is more than commonly found, I’d offer less or say, “I’ll give you $450 cash out the door” and see if they take it.

My gut feeling is that may be a very decent deal -at least for my neck of the woods. If it’s in good shape, you should be able to get that amount back, no problem.

Let us know... post pictures, etc.

Regards

New that's a low to mid $600 gun. Apparently you are wanting it. Never hurts to offer less, even if it's just them paying the tax in this slow market. If you have a good relationship with the guy and he's just trying to make it, pay the price. It'll come back to you at some point.

If the trigger guard hits your knuckle, put on Pachmayr grips. I use them. I keep extra grips with my Blackhawks. And I wear leather gloves. That helps , too.

Well it’s all mine now, or soon will be. I looked it over today and put a down payment on it. Outside of 1/2 pinhead sized bald spots and dull spot about the same size on a corner of the top strap the bluing looks perfect. Maybe it’s been blued. The blue is shinier than my other Rugers but the edges are crisp. So I don’t know. I’ll take a little Flitz to the dull spot, maybe a little cold blue to the bare metal. When I get her out of jail I’ll post pics.
