Is that knife made by Remington? It looks just like one that I have. Steve

Mine is marked PAL RH 36 Made in USA. From what I've read RH is Remington Hunting and were pretty common around WWII. This was my grandfather's hunting knife.

I was wondering the same thing. I have one at home that was my Grandfather's that looks just like it.

Not a fan of bottom feeders, Ruger or not. BUT I REALLY LIKE GPs and "Ideal-style" knives like that Pal!!!

Does anybody (I mean any American manufacturer) make an Ideal-type fixed blade any more since Marbles quit? I have an old Marbles 4" and an old Case 5" but would like to retire them and replace them with a new one, preferably in stainless. Older Bucks like the "Special" have the fuller on the blade ("blood groove") but have a clip point, not a straight, spear or drop point like a true "Ideal."

Any other source? Or do I have to either make one myself or have a custom one made?

I've got a knife almost exactly like it, but I believe mine is marked either NAVY or ARMY on it. And I'm not sure about the grove on the blade.
It's the second one I've come up with and always wanted to find out more about it.

Love that blued GP 100, wouldn't mind having one like it.
