Polishing

Hi new to the site. I just recently purchased a p85 and wanted to clean it up a little. I wanted to polish the slide and was wondering if this was possible regardless of the current finish. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Just seeing if its worth doing. Thanks for reading

welcome to the Forum, yes, you can "polish" the slide, wether blued or stainless....BUT if blued, remember you have to keep the "bare" metal coated with oil to prevent 'oxidation'. so we always reblue or parkerize or Metalife ,some sort of coating ( finish), pick a tone, mix or match.....
stainless we bead blast the top and front,bottom, hand polish the sides for higher gloss...........nice thing about the stainless you can always "touch it up" easy to blend in any and all nicks,dings & marks..........
