We subscribe to Spotify so we can get music WITHOUT commercials. It's a pretty easy app to navigate and you can choose the type of music.
But they also have a lot of podcasts. These do have commercials for some reason, but holy cow, some of them are so interesting.
Right now I'm listening to "A Short History Of…" it's by some company called Noiser.
You can find it at https://www.noiser.com/
If you don’t want Spotify. It also looks like they have the full podcasts without having to download anything or create an account etc. very unusual these days.
They are just really good and cover many different historical topics. I listen to them when driving around town. At about 40 minutes or so, it takes me a day to listen to them, but that’s ok.
I just finished the episode on the Korean War. But they have Harry Houdini, Mozart, The Great Wall of China, many, many subjects.
I’m not affiliated with this company at all. Sometimes I just get tired of music and the narrator has a very calming voice. Perfect for driving in heavy traffic.
