Yet another out-of-stater (Ohio in this case) who can't be bothered to read the signs, follow the rules, or use common sense. Hope next time she just buys some postcards on the internet and sends us a check for the money she would have spent on food, fuel, and lodging...😆

In the summer of 1989 we, Nita and I, took our first trip to Yellowstone. I was taking photos from Fishing Bridge and left my camera and gear with Nita while I went back for more film. She told me later she heard someone approaching on horseback and thought little of it. Then she turned around and was face to face with a buffalo!

There was little danger, as there is a rail that separates the roadway of the bridge from the walkway and fishing benches.

"Stupid is as stupid does."

I call this stuff; "Education by Disney!"

Maybe the family can sue Disney for teaching them a false narrative about animals?

(Now before this stirs all kinds of comments,, it's just a joking idea, that I know would never happen. But with all the stupid lawsuits in the courts nowadays,, it would be funny if a person's family did try & sue Disney for the false portrayal of animals.)

Some years ago the wife and I were in Edmonton Canada. I was in a meeting and she went for a drive. On the roadside she found this. Notice the window is NOT down. She said he was as big as the car so she didn't wait around for him to pose for her; picture and go. The car she was driving didn't weigh much more then the bull.

In September of 2018 was in Yellowstone and my 36 yr young daughter wanted ”Great“ pictures of Bison so off we go looking for Bison!
We found a small herd! About twenty head. She set up her tripod and got many very nice shots from 100 yds. I worked my way down the path to put a huge boulder( the size of a small motorhome) between me and the herd and got up to about 30 yds as I look around the end of the rock. I retreated and got my daughter and slowly returned to the rock. When I checked the wind and still in my face then whispered to her to get the camera ready and if I pull you back go around me and get in a big crack in the rock! She slowly eased around the end to see no 20 but possibly 200 bison In the basin. She got many great shots!
I could see one cow getting spooky and told her to come back and we,re getting out of here! As I looked behind us I see some guy charging out across the sage toward us and as he gets he yells” I want to see the Buffalo!” And around the rock he charges to about 10 ‘ from the Spooky cow! His luck held and when he got back to the road I informed him just how Lucky he was! Never under estimate the power of stupid!

Years ago when driving from Cooke City to Gardener, I passed a rather large bull. I guess I was too close to him for his liking and he tried to 'hook' my little Toyota Corona as we passed. The passenger sitting next to me in the front seat tried to exit the driver side. He was a trained Marine Guerilla tactics instructor! Those 'fuzzy' critters are sketchy!

I think she died from her injuries.
I just saw a clip that said the report of her death was incorrect and that she did survive .
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:52 p.m. MT) A previous version of this article overstated the extent of the woman's injuries. According to NBC News, the woman in fact survived being gored by the bison at Yellowstone. She was not killed but her current condition is unknown.
