Yes to all the above. Some states may require carry permit same as gun.

Same in Va. unles your Law Enforcement or active Milatary.I have a buddy that's a knife collector and he has a bunck of auto knives, but he just can't carry them .
It's a really stupid law .My C.R.K.T. M-16-14L.E. is a finger fliper and it's just as fast as any auto knife and it's comlpetlly legal for anyone to carry .

Legal to own in Texas, NOT legal to carry in Texas.

I believe that changed on Sep 1. when HB1862 became law (signed by Gov. Perry back in June).

Local restrictions (City, County) may still exist.
