Got an E-mail this morning on a subject I had forgotten about. Amazon lets you pick
a "charity" to donate a small percentage of your purchases to. I picked the NRA and
the amount (OBVIOUSLY not just me) is:

Dear Patrick,

This is the quarterly AmazonSmile notification to inform you that the
charity you've selected, The NRA Foundation, Inc., recently received a
donation of $14,355.04, at no additional cost to customers.

AmazonSmile's impact:
- $220,629.23 to The NRA Foundation, Inc.

Since Amazon is very liberal, I bet there are at least a few working there that find
this offensive. - - - Good for them. :wink:



I'll also bet there are MANY others that received something like this.

I’ve done that for a few years now, I selected the non profit run by Frustrated Middle Child. It’s something to do with getting women involved in the shooting sports.

By the way, you can also click on a tab in the upper right, something like see my contributions. But I didn’t know you could select the amount, I thought Amazon donated a flat half percent from each purchase.

Funny though, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten an email from Amazon telling me about my contributions.

Did you know you can also download a csv file showing the total you’ve spent on Amazon over the years? You can choose all time or specific years. That’s when it gets scary to see how much you’ve spent on Amazon.
