Plastic Anchors for snap cap

What size anchor works best for a small cap for .22

The best ones have been Hillman's 4-6 x 7/8 but then they cheapened them down to where the rim that would protect the chamber was so thin that it wasn't protective enough. Awhile back they came back with a jar of 625 pcs from Amazon that were the thicker ones again and was a great bargain but I'm not sure if they are still available. I just looked and don't see them. They still list them in a 100 pack but not sure if it's the older good style or the newer thin ones.

As you know rimfire should not be dryfired. They make plastic >22 LR bullets that you can put in the chamber and protect the chamber from dry firing damage, Although the plastic anchors that are used to anchor screws in concrete and drywall can do the same job. The real snap caps though can be manually cycle through a semi auto the anchors cannot.

I have not found plastic snap caps that hold up. When extracting these orange ones from semi auto the extractor pulls off the rim. I think they were sold by Lyman. I have some aluminum ones (forgot the brand or where I got them) that get indented but they still protect. The AZoom blue ones are for action checking and not supposed to be snap caps but they do still protect the chamber I would think. I try not to use the AZoom as snap caps however.
