Photography can be dangerous

While backing up while composing a shot in the first photo, I heard a rather chilling sound. The result was the second image.

Apparently he took exception to almost being stepped on. Truth be told, I didn't hit it with the bullet, I "barked" him with a rock splinter.

Pacific Diamondback. Look closely at the tail and you can see the rattle.
