My brother made this and gave it to me for Christmas one year. He had me make the scales, set the bevel and clean it up a little and send it to Peters HeatTreat in Pa for chryo tteatment and tempering.
He made the blade from a leaf from a Mack dump truck, so 5160 most likely, at least thats what I told Peters. The guy said he could cut himself out of that dump truck with it now. I believe it. Scales are black micarta.

Cool Klein insulation knife, Morakniv, custom small damascus skinner, Ulu my mom bought in Alaska, two CRKT M21 folders, a Kershaw D2 brush knife, a Biker made D2 5" with cool grip fasteners, Barry Dawson fixed D2 model 98 is an awesome blade, a JC Higgins marked Marbles leather stack and a Shrade 2 blade.
I have processed alot of game with these. EDC the CRKT button lock or the Barry Dawson. That Dawson can cut open car body metal and break glass.
Best bang for the buck is the Klein, super sharp Fairborn Sikes design dagger was only $16.99 at Lowes and my buddy bought several for his family members and gave me that one for Christmas. It is a badass blade with one side serrated the other side super sharp. My friend abused one just to see what it could take being that cheap and it stood up excellent and blade did not snap putting a load on it.
