I think that was september 1979, me & my brothers were packed into the selway country of central Idaho, I bugled the bull in with my mouth, no call.
Mike, I had on either a 44 flattop or a 4" model 29 smith, can't remember. I've killed 2 bulls bigger than this one, one with my 6 1/2" 44 flattop.

It looks like you've gotten some of your "older" pics transferred. Excellent. I enjoy looking at older pics of things like this. It reminds us how we AND the things around us change. Keep 'em coming!

Actually that had to be about 1973 or 74, took another big bull the following year with the 44 flattop.
Brent, you know they're still there, we are just too old to go get them!

I found a lot of old photo's from back in the early 70's but I still haven't got them sorted out yet. The photo's of the 2 bulls are backwards, that is, I'm younger in the second one.....maybe one of these days I'll sort it out! I do remember that the bull taken with the 44 flattop (Lawrence #7 I think) was my first handgunned elk.
