A conversation photo

The photo section appeared to have died out since Wednesday, so I was looking around for something this evening to take a photo of to start a conversation. The top of my office desk was the first thing to come to my attention.

this usually starts a conversation. I no longer own the one on the lift but boy did it generate conversation. it was like mobile flypaper.

Update: The three wheeler is a 2019. Morgan with several engine and suspension upgrades.

Aircoupe or Ercoupe? What year? Always wanted to fly one.

No idea on the year... The plane is parked in someone's side yard. I was amazed by how small the cockpit was.

It was called the Ercoupe for quite a while. They're a neat little plane. A friend had one. It was fun to fly around with the cockpit open.

Only 112 were produced before the war shut down the line. After the war production again was started until 1952 when the Riverside plant was shut down. They continued to be built elsewhere until the 1970s.

Sold for under $3,000, the plane was advertised as "spin-proof" and operated much like a car, with no rudder pedals and a steering wheel linked to the nose wheel. Soon, it appeared in department stores across the country and captured the imagination of magazines, celebrities, and the public."

I had a buddy that I knew from New Mexico days. After we'd moved to Arkansas (we lived in a rural area where there was a grass airstrip every few miles for the ag planes), he showed up one day in an Aircoupe. Myself, wife, and kids all went for a ride in it. He flew it to all 48 states before moving on to his next adventure.

That is a Janus Motorcycle, Halcyon 250cc .. They are a current production motorcycle company in Goshen Indiana. Very well built bikes. Their website has a cool build a bike program that is fun to play with configuring all the colors and options and all kinds of videos of them in motion telling the why's and the how's of their bikes.
