I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Vegas gun show many years back. He was there with Phil Schrier (sp) from the NRA if I recall correctly. I shook his hand and told him how much I appreciate his work. With him and Mike Venturino passing recently, there is a vast amount of knowledge that was shared with us. RIP Sir.

Enjoyed his articles for the most part. However, I met him at the Quail Unlimited Celebrity Shoot in Riverside. He was shooting with my friend Chuck Stapels (knifemaker) and my wife and I were volunteer scorekeepers. He was "less than personable", unlike Rick Hacker who was quite charming, as were Andy Garcia, Leslie Easterbrook and most of the "celebrities". I remember he wasn't shooting too well, so maybe that was it (?).
