I got to tinkering with an old 44 Blackhawk a while back and while moving a few guns around last night I picked up my 4 5/8 SBH (NM) in one hand and my 44 BH (OM) and noticed a substanial weight differance. It looks like I dropped a bunch of weight, picked up 2" in barrel length (easiest free velocity you can get) and I just plain like it better anyway. I carry this gun almost daily and I can't believe it took me this long to notice.

The OM has an alum alloy grip frame and fluted cylinder which accounts for the weight difference. You can put those on the new model SBH as well.
