PC9 electronic sight set up / mount

To all you PC9 / PC4 owners... I intend to install an electronic sight ( like Eotech HWS or Aimpoint Red Dot H-1 style sights ) on my PC9 and I'm looking for suggestions on the best mounting arrangements. With the two section Ruger scope mount on the carbine, what rail mount works best and for those of you who have installed or have experience with electronic sights on the carbine, which worked best? Anticipate close range work (50-100 yds) or for close combat home protection.

Weigand Combat makes a great mount for the PC's and Mini's. Check them out at there site. I bought one for my PC-9 and mounted a red dot on it. It fit perfect but the red dot was not for me as I liked the Peep site on my PC better so I took it off. If your interested I can offer you mine for $40 dollars and $5 shipping if your interested.

My experience is pretty much the same as kschwa.
Used the Weigand,very solid mount, for a red dot.
Ended up prefering the factory ghost rings so I took it off.

One of these days I'll try out a low power scope on it.

I bobbed a rail down for my RDs

I think it was a waren channel{ can't remember} but having it cut back I can use the channel to get a clean view of my iron sight if need be

Sabby, thanks for the response. This is exactly what I want to do.. Same rail and an Aimpoint H-1... But, I've checked Brownell's, Midway etc for a Warne Channel rail and haven't located anything. Do you remember where you purchased it from and whether it is still available? I'd like to purchase now to complete the project.

Here's my setup: An older Bushnell Zoom Dot (you can find them on ebay now and then) mounted in a steel Warne 30mm QR Ruger specific ring. Awesome!

Thanks Ed! Appreciate the photo of your setup.. I'm leaning towards the Aimpoint H-1... Now I would really like to find the see through rail mount that fits the PC9 like Sabby posted. This way I can still use the iron sights as necessary.
Anyone know of a see through rail that will attach to the scope mounting cuts on the PC9? I pm'd Sabby again and hope I can jar his memory, or a forum member that may know of such a mount.

Someone may have mentioned it above... but what you are looking for is any mount / rings or such that will fit a mini-14 or 30 ranch.... I like the bobbed rail on rings option.... see through sounds good, but realize you don't have the same accuracy and it adds a good bit of height to the rifle.
