Ahoy,
Who's put a scope on the PC40, what did you get? I bought the factory rings from Ruger when I bought the Carbine a few years ago...I also go the ghost ring rear site.

The optics mount I posted it very nice and may allow you more options.

I put a NC Star with the p4 recticle on mine. Love it. Zeroed it at 50yds.
