I often see guys on this forum lauding the quick turnaround and good customer service from Ruger. I sent my P97 back to Ruger on March 16, UPS next day air. A couple of days later, recieved an e-mail from UPS saying it had been delivered to Ruger. Waited a couple of weeks to get some kind of confirmation from Ruger about their reciept of the gun, or maybe what they had found. Heard nothing. After three weeks, I called to inquire. They seemed to have no info on the gun, other than that it was in their posession. They said call back next week, we will have more info then. Waited another week and a half, and called today. They said, yes we have the gun, but no more info on it. He put me on hold to go check on it, and came back and said that all he could find was that it was being "evaluated". I asked what kind of timeframe we were looking at, and he said he really did not know. Now, I realize that my gun is not the only one they have to work on, by far. However, I hardly call this speedy service. So don't expect to get your gun back quickly if you send it in for repair.
