P95DC

I have acquired P95DC not all too long ago. I've been looking all over for a smiths book or instruction guide to strip the P95DC down so I can soak everything and do a thorough cleaning. I've had it and actively used it for about a year. I recall, with my glock, that it required a complete strip and cleaning once a year. Can anyone help?

The P89 and P95 tear down is very similar. I have a P95 and this was a big help.

Unless you shoot a lot of dirty ammo, there's no need for the strip down. I've had my KP95 since the second year they were out and the only thing I do is take the slide off maybe once a year and clean the barrel and lube the innards of the slide. Not a good idea to soak the synthetic frame in anything.

You would be surprised how much can get trapped in the firing pin channel. I tore mine down and cleaned the firing pin and spring as well as the channel.
Easy to do, and I would recommend it, if it is a carry gun or something you keep ready in case the SHTF. Just my opinion.

Nothing on the P95 can be harmed by Low Odor Petroleum Solvent, aka Charcoal Lighter Fluid. I use that and kerosene to soak my guns when they need an internal cleaning.
