Just bought my 1st semi-auto. I went with the p95 because of the good reviews. I went through 30 rounds of American Eagle with no problems, but then switched to Remington and it jammed almost every try. So i figured it was the ammo. So i bought a couple other types Steel Match & Federal, and they jammed as well but not as often as the Remington. So far American Eagle has been the only brand to fire consistently. It looks like the round is catching on the opening of the barrel and going in crooked, then the shell doesn't eject properly and "stovepipes". I am definitely not limpwristin (my other is a .357 colt trooper).
Is it possible that the ejector got loose by recoil or possibly slapping a magazine in there too hard. With a magazine inside, looking down there the ejector slightly moves back and forth. Is it supposed to do that? or is it supposed to be tight? if it is in the forward position the cartridges eject(unload) properly. If in the back position the slide gets stuck. and what angle is the top portion of the ejector supposed to be? looks 100 degrees if the gun is upside down.
Well during the typing of this I have had my gun apart and looking and testing these things i have mentioned. I probably solved my problem and the ejector is loose and it's not supposed to be. Or I can be wrong. Any advice on this? How exactly would tighten the ejector? Any body else had this problem with a brand new out of the box p95?
