P95 incoming

Yeppideedooda!

Have fun, I put about 30 rounds through one of mine yesterday to see if the 18lb Wolfe spring I put in it made any difference.

I really couldn't tell any... it still put holes in the paper and killed those evil skeets laying on the berm just the same.

Eric ... Congrats on your new P95. Mine just passed the 8,500 round mark yesterday and has still never had a single failure (only gun I've ever had that made it this far without some kind of failure). While mine has certainly proven durable and reliable, the big bonus has been its accuracy (much better than I expected). While not a target pistol by any stretch of the imagination (and I didn't buy it for that purpose), it will consistently shoot sub 2" groups up to about 30'. Best of luck with yours (make sure we get a range report with pictures)

Good to see a lot of people still using P95's makes me feel good I picked a good starter semi-auto pistol

Thinking about one myself
I'll use it for my "truck gun" so i wont bang up my SR9
Kidding (sort of) -
$295 IS a good deal - The one i looked at here local was about $350 in stainless

Great starter. I gave mine to my son years ago. I replaced with an SR9.

I love the SR9 but, I still like shooting my old P95 when we go out shooting together. I am sometimes tempted to swap him, to get it back.

Cool purchase ERIC,

My P95 is one of the original, prerail models.
I added Mepro night sites and a Hogue handall grip.

A very trusted handgun for defense....

It is the blued version, getting it for $295 brand new I think I got a good deal.

No doubt that's a good deal. I paid $310 plus tax for mine and was happy with the deal. That's less than the price of a S&W Sigma...Need I say more?

I just paid $260 for one of the older P95's, I got the P95DC with the stainless slide, just took it out for the first time this weedend, and was amazed. It was extermely smooth, I was shooting around 1.25-1.5 inch groups at 25 yards (5-shot groups). My wife (who is terrified of guns) picked it up and fired a gun for the first time in her life, she was scared at first, but she kept working on it. She still doesn't understand the proper sight picture, but she's getting there. She was "fixing" the silouhette. So I am confident if she needed to, she could stop a BG with it in my home. The only thing I added to the gun was a hogue grip. I wouldn't have another, I love it.

I am on my second one. The first was a stainless w/rail. I sold it to finance another purchase. The one I now have is the blued one with the rail. $295.00 is a good price. I just paid $320.00 for one local. I could have gotten it for $295.00, but I would have had to drive close to 50 miles one way to where it was. Well worth the extra $25.00 to not have to drive there and back. :D

I don't consider it a "starter" pistol...It is a "First Class" pistol that I would put up against any semi auto on the market! I backed a Sig Factory Rep down one day...He was in shop where I worked and made fun of my P95. I challenged him to a shoot off where we would shoot until one or the other's gun had a failure or a part broke...loser pay for the ammo...I gave him the option of using any current Sig 9mm...He refused with no real reason...I guess I won by default!

Here are some pics of my P95

I love my KP95...

PS, the red sticker comes off :)

EDIT/ADDITION:

Does the Hogue grip make much of a difference as far as grip, comfortability, accuracy, etc?
the sticker keeps it new. LOL

LOL don't know how many times I've looked at my gun/pictures and never noticed that sticker lol, I must say after handling the gun without the Hogue grip and now handling it with the Hogue grip, its like night & day, well worth the investment. The gun seems easier to grip, it stays firm and I was told that this model if you have sweaty hands the gun can get very slippery and its true with the Hogue grip it stays where it is at. I highly recommend the grip. I will let you guys know of accuracy when I go shooting with it in the coming days.

Look forward to your post on shooting it. Never used the Hogue grip on mine. . I just know you need a high and tight grip and the gun will run. Rain sleet or snow any ammo.
