Well, I just got back from the range, shooting my P95 PR15 for the first time, did I like it, NO!!!! I Loved it, what a great handgun
This is now my bew favorite gun. Someone told me on the new members forum to bring lot's of Ammo, and he was right. I am well pleased with my purchase. Great gun.

Better start buying in bulk or reloading your own ammo. Glad to hear it's everything you wanted!

Hey Robert,
A friend of mine has a P-95 ,blued that he's had for years .He's sold it 4 times but always buys it back .I even owned it once ,but not being a ruger auto fan never shot it .Last spring he asked me to do a detailed cleaning on the gun and I did .Of course after completely disassembly cleaning and re assembly I had to do a function fire test .Boy was I surprised ! I LIKE IT .That thing shoots like a house a fire.I don't much like trigger disconnect safeties or Da/sSa auto's but this is an exception to the rule .That thing just flat shoots.Even though the first double action pull is long it's surprisingly light and smooth and the Sa pull is light and crisp and it's very accurate . .I even tried to buy it back from him but after he saw what I did to it he said NO WAY GET YOUR OWN!! LOL.I'm thinking of getting an SR9 but I would buy a used P-95 decocker if I could find one and the price was right .This it the only Ruger auto thats ever rung my bell .I shot our 50 round qualification course with the gun and to my surprise I shot I believe a 96.8 with it .That's better than I could do with my Beretta 92FS and equal to what I do with my glock G22 .I.M.H.O. the P-95 is the best of the P series guns and I think you've chosen well .Enjoy your new gun .Here's a couple of pics of it after I finished it I highlighted the nomenclature on it and added a strip of skateboard tape to the front and back strap to give you a bit more grip as the frame is a bit slick

Thanks Lou, I was suprised at how smooth it fired. The trigger point took a bit to get used to, but after hat...Wow I really like the gun. When I took my CCW clas back a few years ago, I had no pistol. The Sgt. from the local police Dep. who was teaching the class, let me use his Glock 22 .40 cal. That was really nice to shoot, but I like shooting this one better. Better than my Simth and Wesson, my Kel-Tec or my Hi Point 45 (which suprisingly shoots really nice!?!). Thinking about the P345 next, or maybe a rifle for the range.
Thanks for the pics, looks really great.
Thanks again Lou,
Robert

Thanks Britt, yah I don't have re-loader, yet, so bulk is the way to go!!! I'll need it!!!
Thanks again,
Robert

If you love the P95 like I do you'll never be complete until you also own the P90 and/or P97! Their .45ACP versions shoot and handle very well too.

Glad you like your P95 - I feel the same way about mine. I just got 200 more rounds for it for usaammo.com. I have about 600 rounds on hand now.

Thanks Hitman, that's what I'm looking at next is a Ruger .45. I have a Smith and Wesson .45, I like it but not overly impressed with it. I'm looking at the P90 and P345 as my next purchase, o it looks like the local range and trying them both. Thanks again,
Robert

Thanks Robert ,no problem .BTW I can't remember now ,but does the P-95 have a mag safety in it ? I don't think it does ,but i could be wrong ,.If so can it be removed without effecting the functioning of the gun? .
Thanks,
Lou

Yes Lou, I can remove the Mag without effecting the operation of the gun!!!!

No mag safety. If you don't have a manual call ruger and they will send you one free.

My P95 is a tank....fits my big hand....and is a hoot to shoot! Glad yer lovin yers as well. I think it's a great deal at its price, reliable as the day is long and more accurate than I am.

Such a smooth shooter. Good choice, amigo. Enjoy it a lot!

I'm torn because for years my SigPro has been my all-time favorite weapon. Lately, however, I've started shooting my P95 more and I think it's taking over that top spot.

Understand that Rodney. This is by far my favorite weapon. It shoots so smooth!!!!
Robert

The P95 only gets better the more you shoot it. Even though I have an SR9c my P95 has been such a good gun that I am honestly not tempted to replace it with a fullsize SR9. I do wish the P95 had the same sights as the SR9 though.
