P95 DC info

Seeking opinons on a Ruger P95 DC. I don't know much about this pistol. The one I have found is as new in the box, the owner I know, has shot a box through it for his CCW many moons ago. It has been a nightstand gun since. He says it shoots perfectly.
Does this model have a good track record? Any known reliabilty or hitches? It comes with 2 10 round Mags? But will hold a double stack, I think. Are the hi-cap mags still available?
The gun is blued and looks absolutely brand new inside and out. For $300, I don't think I could go wrong; but then again, thats why I'm asking for opinions. Thanks.

P95 is a rock solid pistol, can't remember my P95 having a jam with any kind, it runs great with any brand or type of ammo. I saw a P95 for about $320.00 new two weeks ago at LGS,but most pistols are hard to find with all the panic buying, so the price might be as good as you will find until they become more available. The one you are looking at was sold with the reduced capacity mags for states with magazine restrictions, the standard capacity 15 round mags are normally supplied with the P95 and they can be ordered from Ruger store for $39.95 plus shipping if they are not banned in your state. They are on back order now and will take a month or so to get because of high demand.

(note I have not asked if it is a stainless or a blue one or if it is the older slick grip model or the newer textured grip with rail under the barrel)

In my limited opinion the P95 decocks were the hight of Ruger production... they reached the limit on how perfect they could make a 9mm semi-auto and thus is why they stopped making them.

A KP95DC is what I carry for CCW. I could carry any handgun in the world but that's the one I chose. That should make a serious statement about how I regard the P95.
All the "full capacity" mags for the later series Ruger 9mm pistols will work in the P95. Just FYI:the mags are all "double stack" but the 10 rounders have a filler at the base. After market Mec-Gar mags are excellent if you can find them. From the trend I'm seeing, the 10 round mags are getting more expensive as some of the unConstitutional regulations requiring the lower capacity mags begin to take effect.

Later series 9 mm mags will not work in P95, the P95 is the last P series 9 mm and P89, P93 and P94 mags will work in P95. Later series would be the SR9 and they have a completely different mag. The Mec-Gar mags can be had in 15 and 17 round sizes and both are really good quality.
